Parana river with a 1.000.000 square miles watershed and more than 3000 miles long, is the second biggest watercourse in south America. Only overcome by the Amazonas river, starting in Brazil then Paraguay ending in Argentina, flowing into the River Plate delta. Its massive water flow transports great amounts of sediments which makes it a dynamic system, changing it’s form constantly creating new banks, sandbars, islands, smaller side-streams, deltas, and dragging logs where the Dorado loves to hide.
Bella Vista town is located in Corrientes province and it is nowadays one of the best spots for Dorado fishing.

Logistics to get to Bella Vista is simple; there are daily flights connecting Buenos Aires Aeroparque Domestic Airport (AEP) to Corrientes (CNQ) or Resistencia (RES). It is a 1-hour nonstop flight to either of these airports, then our host will drive you 80 miles to the hotel.

We recommend a typical Western trout fly selection for local rivers: hoppers, Chernobyl ants, stimulators, humpies and Wulffs in # 8-12; bead-head nymphs in # 14-20, tan and olive caddis patterns in # 12 - 16; mayfly parachutes, emergers, and cripples in # 14-20; and a selection of streamers.
